Wow we are done with our album! It’s out there for the world to listen to. Dear friends-Do tune into Itunes, check them out and buy our songs-the whole album is just $9.99! I especially need to thank our friends and family, including the Whitman community, for encouraging and supporting us in making this happen. Finding time to record around our busy Whitman schedules was quite the challenge but we did it!

Two new songs from Dabbles’ upcoming album. “Si Hija De Mi Amor” uses lyrics from a poem by 17th century Spanish poet Francisco De Quevedo. Ha!

Dabbles jam sesh (3/4 of them, that is), unfortunately without Robby that day. In typical fashion, Rimmy and Adriel didn’t even know that “On the Sunny Sunny Side of the Street” is a jazz standard. I think throughout the song they thought Jonas was freestyling. But they did know that the song before that one is an original Dabbles song baby.

Who knows, more blog features of the sort might be on their way and, who knows, they might even include video interviews with the actual featured dude (or rimmy)! Also, his birthday is coming up… love you robby!

Update: We got some help with editing this past weekend from Robby’s friends from home (they all have curly hair; it’s really cute) and Jonas’s sister (she doesn’t have curly hair, but at least she might come to whitman). Because of them, we’re on track to finish the album in a few weeks!
Tonight, we’re playing a show at Whitman’s Beta House. Dude York, Dujie Tahat, Red Light Blue Light, and some others are performing there as well. Dabbles will go on at around 5:30.

Markel Uriu has been making the cover art for “Found It,” and it’s looking reMARKabEL!! She’s a truly astonishing artist. We won’t say what it’s going to look like, since that would just be unfair. But we will say that it involves paint… and color…

A lot of exciting things are about to be released from Dabbles In Bloom, and we want to tell you about them. I mean, I guess you can tell your friends, if you really want to.
Firstly, Adriel’s song “I Stepped Down,” which was written and recorded for the documentary film “Evolution of Dad,” will be up on iTunes very soon. The movie is already available to be pre-ordered: www.evolutionofdad.com.
And, at least to us, what’s even more exciting is the upcoming release of our first album, “Found It.” The song “I Stepped Down” will be on the album, so that one is kind of the first peak at the album, but before the whole album gets released, another single will be available for listening. The name of the single is a surprise…
